In chapter 7, it talks about integration strategies. Due to the constant challenge of motivating students to learn, teachers must change their traditional roles and become facilitators of learning. Technology plays a key role in easing the change because it allows teachers to use technology tools to enhance the learning environments. There were three instructional strategies described in the book. They were a one-computer classroom, a multi-computer classroom, and a computer lab. You can integrate educational technology with one computer by projecting the computer's image on a projection screen or large-screen television, you can enhance your traditional lectures to accomplish whole-class instruction of learning objectives. One way to use two or more computers in the classroom is to set up the computers as separate learning centers for student use. Teachers can divide the centers by subject area and then create activities that continuously change to match the curriculum or lessons being taught. The most important advantage of using a computer lab or wireless mobile lab is that all students have hands-on experience using computer technology. Teachers may successfully use computer skill instruction, Internet research, whole class instruction, and tutorials.
This week since we are still doing power point, I just keeping learning differnt things about the computer program that I did not already know. For example, how to add a sound to a screen or how to add action buttons. I also learned that the History channel's website has an amazing site about Halloween and almost everything you would want to know. They also have a lot of info about other holidays.
This week was an interesting week. When I went to register for classes I found out I had a hold on my account. FUN!! I had to run all over campus to find out how to get this hold off my account so I could register. Also the FSU/UM game was good up until the end when we lost!! But other than that it was a decent week. The Packers were off so we are still 5-1!!.
