An interesting web-based tool or resource that I might use when teaching is a website called PECentral (http://pecentral.com/) that helps put together lesson plans for any grade. You can shop for books and different PE supplies that you would need from grades K-12. There is a kid's program section where kids can log on and take small quizzes. You can also look on the web site for a job, schools can post job openings, you can also get sample interview questions and tips for when you do have an interview. The website also helps you with your portfolio. The website also offers other sites for when you want to engage in different activities such as dance fitness and health. Overall I think that this website will be very beneficial when I begin to teach PE and even before that when I begin to look for a job.

Another website that I found that could be beneficial for the health part of my classes was the Dole 5-A-Day Website (http://dole5aday.com/ ). This website helps teachers and students learn the benefits of eating healthy and promotes eating 5 fruits and vegetables a day. The website dedicates an entire section for teachers. In this section teachers it helps teachers present the material in their classroom, gives the teachers materials like print outs, DVDs, cookbook, chart and other very helpful material for teaching eating healthy. There is also a section for the students. On here the can play games that will help their understanding. There is also a cookbook and crossword puzzles, a fruit and vegetable encyclopedia that will boost their knowledge.

I would not so much want to learn a technology-related skill, but I would like to know how I can incorporate technology into a PE lesson. I know I can use a possible PowerPoint to give the instructions for the activity the students will be participating in that day. they can give me the opportunity to show a video or pictures for the students that need a visual to understand.

Ways that I might achieve my future educational technology-related goals is by researching into it. There are probably several websites and books that have examples of how to use technology in PE lesson. I would also ask other PE teachers and see how they use technology in their lesson plans. Overall I would just use what I know and apply it the best way that I can.
